Well, I've finally done it. I've told my boss I'm looking at putting in my notice in the next couple of years and have enquired with the Gloucestershire Police Force about joining.

Umming and rrring at the moment as it seems to be a severe drop in pay and only to age 55 just doesn't seem too long; I thought it was to age 60.

Although I've been told the process to join can take up to a year to do. Wouldn't give me long. Could transfer the pension though or have the pension to have money come in and then another police pension - although not a long one.

We'll see though.

Jackie's also been offered a job at Windrush (one of the secure areas she works in) but still has to apply for it like every joe public. Hopefully she'll get it. She wants to settle around the Gloucester area anyway. The kids enjoy it as well.

Who knows. Fingers crossed we'll win the lottery and won't have to worry about it...... wishful thinking......
